About Murmur
Less app, more music.
Murmur started from a simple frustration: listening to SoundCloud on the desktop usually means leaving a browser tab open all day, eating memory for something that should be effortless.
So Murmur is the opposite of that. It's a small native player built with Tauri — a Rust core paired with your operating system's own webview, instead of shipping an entire browser engine like Electron apps do. The result is a window that opens instantly and idles at roughly 6 MB of RAM.
It's free, it updates itself, and the source is public. No tiers, no telemetry funnels, no upsells.
